Push through rolling hills
This mid-distance ride is perfect for an extended after-work session or a 'not too long' group ride with your mates at the weekend. You will be off the beaten track after half an hour, your legs will be warm and you will feel ready for the first punches. Test your ability to accelerate uphill. Immediately afterwards, you can recover as you descend on fresh tarmac. Two hairpin bends will give you a taste of the Alps before you continue on winding roads through a peaceful section of the Pupplinger Au pine forest. There is little motorised traffic here, giving you the chance to unwind. After crossing the Isar river for the first time, side roads take you through a partly wooded area where you can test the Belgium Circle or your lead-out position. The mountain ridge appears on the horizon, giving you extra motivation to keep going. As you pass the Isar river for the second and final time, you begin to gain altitude without even noticing. One punch later, the magic is done and the beauty of the ride back to Munich is revealed: Slightly negative gradients make you feel powerful and help you find last bits of energy.

Rouleurs and Punchers, listen up! You may challenge your punch on 4-5 occasions but nothing too serious and therefore also suitable for groups with different riding styles and preferences.

Make it social! The real revelation of a riders’ character is not in his social life but in how he rides in a group. In my social life I can hide my real personality.
