About Musette *

Let’s introduce ourserlves (quickly)

At Musette Cycling Collective we see cycling as a form of art – a canvas for exploration and discovery. We draw inspiration from local cycling cultures to experience authentic and enriching journeys, both on and off the bike.

Join us as we share our journey traversing stunning landscapes, unwinding in charming accommodations, savouring local cuisine and immersing ourselves in compelling stories.

What’s the Collective?

The efforts of countless passionate cyclists provide us with opportunities for discovery. We are grateful for that and want to provide a timeless display of these efforts.

Like most cyclists, we are humble and sociable. Our humbleness leads us to believe that locals know it best. It is up to them to display the beauty of their local cycling cultures. Our social nature has led us to believe that doing things as a peleton is much more fun than doing them solo. That's not to say that riding alone can't be fun, especially if you're 'tete de la course' on a grand tour. But chances are that teammates, friends, family or even the Musette Cycling Collective helped you experience that joy in solitude.

This is why, we rely on a collective of cyclists who work together and are passionate about their respective local cycling culture.

Why Musette?

Easy to answer: 1. It is French, the language of the sport 2. It has to do with cycling, referring to the bag that carries supplies for riders and 3. It sounds nice. What is not to love about this word?

No, seriously, there is not much more to it. We could tell you about countless sleepless nights and endless creative sessions to come up with a name for our mission. At the end of the day, it came down to Musette, the name for the bag that riders carry with them on and off the bike. In professional cycling, it is handed out by the support staff and is filled with food and drinks for the rider and his or her teammates. In urban areas it is a fashion statement, expressing a commitment to the sport when off the bike.

We want to be that helping hand for your next cycling journey. At least that is how we made sense of the word and found a more profound justification for using this beautiful French word.
