Day 1

Once you leave the bustling city of Munich behind, you'll be greeted by stunning landscapes and your first mountain climb. After gaining a few hundred meters in altitude, picturesque lake ‘Silvensteinspeicher’ opens up in fron of you, followed by an old customs house offering coffee and basic snacks. It's a delightful pit stop and a short travel back in time.

Reaching lake ‘Achensee’ your efforts are rewarded with a scenic cycling path and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The peleton starts to reshuffle as speed junkies and technically versatile riders can already feel the descent coming. After some speed segements, you’ll reach the valley. While pedaling towards Innsbruck its time to refuel or google your lunch place in the city. If you dare to resist the temptation of fueling yourself with thousands of calories, you may stop by ‘Machete’. It will provide you with the best burritos and soda collection in town (find link below).

Fed up with mexican food and cycling? Feeling like a nap to digest the 2nd quesdilla? It’s time for a quick change in motivation as you are now about to climb Brenner Pass. The former transit route between Austria and Italy offers steady gradients and minimal traffic. Once you cross into Italy, the quiet road transforms into an even quieter cycle path. If you can resist the thrill of speeding downhill, you’ll enjoy the beautiful Italian valleys, a perfect reward after 200km in the saddle.

Day 2

Your legs might feel the burn, but don't worry, there's no time to overthink it! Starting in Sterzing, Day 2 kicks off with a climb up Passo Giovo. But soon, the surrounding beauty will make you forget the efforts of the first day. Once you reach the peak, it’s smooth sailing downhill. You'll feel like Pogacar on Strade Bianche or MVP on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix only on Tarmac (luckily!). Before you know it, you'll arrive in Meran, the most beautiful town of South Tyrol, where the first bite of pizza will be a heavenly reward.
